Welcome

Welcome to the Guest House blog and website. We hope you find this guide to our special pub useful.

About the Pub
Located close to Southport railway station and Lord Street, the Guest House is a listed building with an impressive frontage; its wood-panelled interior has three separate drinking areas. There are eleven hand pumps serving a range of real ales, including beers from local micro breweries, and there is a wide range of malt whiskies. It is a quiet, traditional pub with outdoor seating at the front, and an enclosed courtyard with a covered smoking area to the rear. The pub attracts a varied clientele, and it holds a quiz night every week, and acoustic music nights twice a month - see our events page.

We are proud to announce that The Guest House has recently been included in the CAMRA National Inventory which identifies pubs with intact traditional interiors or which have features and rooms of national importance. Have a look at us here.

The Guest House dates from the Edwardian era, but its architectural style often leads people to assume that it is much older.
